Lecture 7 (Slide Number 78/79)

Slide number 78/79 shows the audience a glimpse at the final model created for this master thesis in Architecture. It utilizes Adobe flash animation technology. Although the quality isn’t great we still can appreciate how the model looks and interacts with its environment. The animation allows us to grasp how the blue cube is able to shift with the scale. The movement within the model has responded to me on a personal level as I realize that my model should be free flowing and fluidity should be a large part of my design critique.

Alfred Nobel: “Home is where I work and I work everywhere”

Jacques-Yves Cousteau: "The real cure for our environmental problems is to understand that our job is to salvage Mother Nature. We are facing a formidable enemy in this field. It is the hunters... and to convince them to leave their guns on the wall is going to be very difficult."

"From birth, man carries the weight of gravity on his shoulders. He is bolted to the earth. But when man has only to sink beneath the surface and he is free. Buoyed by water, he can fly in any direction - up, down, sideways - by merely flipping his hand. Underwater, man becomes an archangel."

Keith Campbell
"Cloning offers a lot of benefits. I'd just like to see some of them put into practice. I hope that we manage to get there, and improve the quality of life for a lot more people."

“That's a difficult one. Scientists are asked to referee a lot of papers and to a certain extent we have to believe each other as to the validity of the data.”

The balcony was incorporated into the building after thorough research on Rosalie Gascoigne and establishing the amount of materials she collects, this allows her extra space to organise these. The covered area also allowes her to dry her paintings quicker on hot days. The bathroom is located on the middle floor for both artists and the public to use. The darkroom located on Tracey Moffat's level is to provide her with the necessary equipment for her artmaking process.
